'Flight' at Lucille Lortel Theatre
Melting Pot Theatre Company is to present the world premiere of Garth Wingfields drama about the enigmatic Charles Lindbergh, in Flight at the Lucille Lortel Theatre. Opens on the 16 May, following previews from the 8 May, and is scheduled to close on the 19 Jun.
Flight follows famed American aviator Charles Lindbergh during fourteen critical years in his life: from his historic flight to Paris, to the kidnapping of his son, to his obsession with science, to his sudden decision to move to Europe and the anti-Semitic remarks he made at the outbreak of World War II. The play is a deconstruction of an American icon and an exploration of the effects the media and fame have on our celebrities.

The rest of the artistic team includes set & projection design by Michael Deegan & Sarah Conly, costume design by Daryl Stone, lighting design by Jeff Croiter, sound design by Randy Hansen with incidental music by Lance Horne.
Playwright Garth Wingfield is the author of 'Dating Games', a collection of short plays that ran at the Theater Row Studio Theater in June 2003 and later in Los Angeles. He also wrote 'Are We There Yet?', which was produced in London and New York.
Flight's cast includes Gregg Edelman, Kerry OMalley, Brian DArcy James, Adam Heller, Rex Young, and Victoria Mack
