Gutta Beautiful at the Abrons Arts Center

Woodie King Jr's New Federal Theatre presents Gutta Beautiful, by Nina Angela Mercer, at the Abrons Arts Center Henry Street Settlement from 16 Oct - 11 Nov 2007.

Gutta Beautiful: The story of Lola, a young Black woman who finds herself at a crossroads in love and life when she discovers her own role in her man Michael's choice to surrender to popular culture and the drug trade economy.

Directed by Erin Ruffin, Gutta Beautiful features Daria Hardeman, Zuhairah McGill, Rynn O'Connor, Gil Pritchett, Vanya Robinson, Lamont Stephens, Roxie Trapp-Dukes, David Wright and Fauzi.

The creative team comprises Kimani Fowlin (choreography), Anthony Davidson (sets), Reggie Ray (costumes), Shirley Pendergast (lighting) and Sean O' Halloran (sound).
