Harvey Fierstein, Vanessa Williams & more to star in Broadway Does Mother's Day
The Digital Variety Show in support of Broadway Cares is scheduled to stream on Sunday, May 10 from 3pm (ET).
When You're Good to Mama, Broadway is good to you! A digital variety show entitled Broadway Does Mother's Day in support of Broadway Cares' COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Fund will go live online this coming Sunday, May 10, 2020 from 3pm (ET).
"The Broadway community is coming together to give everyone the Mother's Day matinee we need. Join Broadway stars, their children, and their mothers for a celebratory explosion of musical numbers, comedy, special guests, and lots of surprises. We're raising money, we're raising spirits, and we're thanking our moms for raising us!"
The star-studded line-up for the digital event includes such Broadway favorites as Harvey Fierstein, Vanessa Williams, Laura Benanti, Betty Buckley, Celia Keenan-Bolger, LaChanze, Mandy Gonzalez, James Monroe Iglehart, Jill Abramovitz, Kate Baldwin, Jenni Barber, Carolee Carmello, Victoria Clark, Chuck Cooper, Claybourne Elder, Eden Espinosa, Beanie Feldstein, Celia Rose Gooding, Molly Griggs, Judy Kaye, Raymond J. Lee, Lesli Margherita, Ellyn Marie Marsh, Alexis Michelle, and Betsy Wolfe.
In addition, the program is also scheduled to feature sketches from the Broadway companies of Chicago, Company, Diana, Girl from the North Country, Jagged Little Pill, Mean Girls, Moulin Rouge! The Musical, Mrs. Doubtfire, SIX, and Tina: The Tina Turner Musical.
Directed by Ashley Rodbro and featuring music supervision by Andy Einhorn, Broadway Does Mother's Day is produced by Stephanie Cowan and Erica Rotstein.
