How very! Heathers the Musical is reportedly planning to return to New York in 2025. The show's official website and social media teased the news on its official website on September 1, but additional information — including a theatre and dates, and whether the show will play on or off Broadway — has not been released.

The Heathers musical is adapted from the same-named 1988 film, in which Winona Ryder stars as Veronica, an unpopular high school student. Her newfound friendship with the popular "Heathers" clique and romance with a mysterious student named J.D. lead to violent consequences.

Adapted by Kevin Murphy and Laurence O'Keefe from Daniel Waters's screenplay, the musical premiered in Los Angeles in 2013, transferring to New World Stages off Broadway the following year to acclaim.

The upcoming NYC production of Heathers the Musical originated in 2018 in London's West End, where it played an encore run earlier this summer after embarking on two U.K. tours. The production is directed by Andy Fickman with choreography and associate direction by Gary Lloyd, associate choreography by Chris Parkinson, design by David Shields, lighting by Ben Cracknell, sound by Dan Samson, musical direction by Will Joy, and associate musical direction by Jeremy Wootton.
