John Hawkes and Tracie Thoms Star in MTC's Lost Lake

Casting for the Manhattan Theatre Club's upcoming production of Lost Lake at the New York City Center will include John Hawkes and Tracie Thoms. The production will open on 11 November 2014, following previews from 21 October 2014.

The production is a world premiere by Tony and Pulitzer Prize winner David Auburn, directed by Tony Award winner Daniel Sullivan. It is described as "an engrossing and revealing portrait of two strangers bound together by circumstance" and follows the meeting of Veronica and property owner Hogan who find themselves intertwined into each other's problems.

John Hawkes is an Oscar nominated actor whose film credits include 'Winter's Bone', Steven Spielberg's 'Lincoln', Steven Soderbergh's 'Contagion' and 'Martha Marcy May Marlene'. His stage credits include 'In the West' at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., 'Nimrod Soul', the national touring company of 'Greater Tuna' and the New York 24 hour Play Festival.

Tracie Thoms's Broadway credits include the final cast of 'Rent' in which she starred as Joanne, and reprised her role in the Sony film of the musical. She has appeared in 'Sick Fly', and Regina Taylor's 'Drowning Crow'. Film credits include Christopher Nolan's 'Looper', and 'Safe House' alongside Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds.

Lost Lake is presented as part of MTC's 2014-2015 season, joining the previously announced world premiere productions of Country House by Donald Margulies, directed by Daniel Sullivan starring Emmy and Tony Award winner Blythe Danner, and The World of Extreme Happiness by Frances Ya-Chu Cowhig, directed by Eric Ting. Additional productions for the 2014-2015 season will be announced shortly.
