Reasons to be Pretty: tickets now on sale

Tickets are now on sale for the World Premiere of Neil LaButes Reasons to be Pretty, opening at the Lucille Lortel Theatre on 2 Jun 2008, following preveiews from 14 May and runs through to 5 Jul 2008.

In Reasons to be Pretty, Gregs tight-knit social circle is thrown into turmoil when his offhanded remarks about a female coworkers pretty face (and his girlfriends lack thereof) get back to said girlfriend. But thats just the beginning. Gregs best buddy Kent, and Kents wife Carly also enter into the picture and the emotional equation becomes exponentially more complicated. As their relationship crumbles, their friends are pulled into the fray and all are forced to confront a sea of deceit, infidelity and betrayed trust in their journey to answer that oh-so-American question: How much is pretty worth?

This is the final piece in LaBute's trilogy of plays that began with 'The Shape of Things' and 'Fat Pig,' which were also premiered by MCC). Reasons to be Pretty marks the sixth collaboration between MCC Theater and Neil LaBute, who is MCCs Resident Playwright.
