Roundabout Theatre Company sets 2025-26 theatre season
Revivals of Fallen Angels, starring Rose Byrne and Kelli O'Hara, and The Rocky Horror Show are among the shows in the nonprofit organization's Broadway lineup.
Roundabout Theatre Company has set its 2025-26 theatre season, with three Broadway and two Off-Broadway productions playing across the nonprofit organization's three venues in the Theatre District.
At Broadway's Studio 54 this fall is a new production of Sophocles's Oedipus, adapted and directed by Robert Icke. Mark Strong and Lesley Manville lead the hit production from London, which is currently up for four 2025 Olivier Awards. The classic Greek tragedy about a king's downfall is now set on the night of an election, becoming a political and sensual thriller.
Also at Studio 54, in spring 2026, is a revival of Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show directed by Sam Pinkleton (Oh, Mary!). This musical classic, featuring popular songs like "Time Warp," follows two squeaky-clean college kids whose car breaks down outside the mansion of the eccentric Dr. Frank-n-Furter, who takes them on an unforgettable adventure.
The final show in Roundabout's Broadway season is a revival of Noel Coward's Fallen Angels starring Rose Byrne and Tony Award winner Kelli O’Hara. They play two married women who meet to discuss their pre-marital affairs — with the same man, who's about to visit. Old rivals and past scandals soon bubble up.
Scott Ellis will direct the production at the Todd Haimes Theatre in spring 2026.
Off Broadway in fall 2025, Roundabout will present Pulitzer Prize finalist Rajiv Joseph's Archduke starring Tony nominee Patrick Page (Hadestown). Directed by Darko Tresnjak, the dark comedy reframes Gavrilo Princip — Archduke Franz Ferdinand’s assassin, whose actions led to the outbreak of World War I — and his fellow revolutionaries as ragtag dreamers swept up in forces beyond their control.
The final show in Roundabout's season, in spring 2026, is Alex Lin's Chinese Republicans, directed by Chay Yew. The play follows three high-powered businesswomen whose long-standing monthly lunches to discuss their corporate triumphs are disrupted by the arrival of 24-year-old Katie, looking for advice. The show explores themes of assimilation, intergenerational conflict, and gender politics in the workplace as each woman tries to steer Katie how they think best, reckoning with their own careers as they do.
Both Off-Broadway productions will take place at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre.
Information about performance dates and additional cast and creative team members has yet to be announced.
