The Lucille Lortel 2012 Award winners

The winners of the 27th Annual Lucille Lortel Awards were announced at the NYU Skirball Center on 6 May 2012, at a ceremony hosted by Mario Cantone.

The musical Once, featuring music and lyrics by Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova, book by Enda Walsh, and direction by John Tiffany was named Outstanding musical.

Stephen Karam's Sons of the Prophet, directed by Peter DuBois and produced by the Roundabout Theatre Company was named Outstanding play.

  • Lifetime Achievement Award: Richard Frankel
  • Playwrights' Sidewalk Inductee: Richard Foreman
