Tulis McCall

Tulis McCall is a writer, actor and producer living in New York City. McCall's "All Aboard" was the winner of the United Solo Festival New York's Best Storytelling Script Award in 2015. In addition, her "Are You Serious" won Best Stand-Up Comedy in 2016. McCall is the author of two previous one-person shows. "What Everywoman Knows" produced at the Public Theater in New York by Michael Moriarty's Potters Field Theatre Company and at the West Coast Ensemble in Los Angeles by Dan Lauria, Joanna Kerns and Peter Gatien. "Running With Scissors" was directed by Philip Proctor of the Firesign Theatre. Both were Los Angeles Times Critic's Choices. Since 2007, she has hosted "Monologues and Madness" - a monthly event at the Cornelia Street Café featuring 10-15 readers presenting their own work. Aside from her contributions during her time as lead critic for New York Theatre Guide, she is also the creator and editor of the NYC theatre review site The Front Row Center and believes that the theatre is a temple. Period.
