Kara Lindsay and Drew Gehling to star in ‘Amour’ virtual revival
The Tony Award-nominated musical will have three performances.
Although Amour was shortlived at the Music Box Theatre in 2002, the five-time Tony Award-nominated musical still has a place in Broadway history. Amour will be revived in April, available to watch from April 2 - 4.
Set in Paris, audiences meet Dusoleil, an ordinary civil servant who discovers he can walk through walls. He's trying to win over Isabelle, but can he walk into a happy marriage and a life ever after?
Drew Gehling will play Dusoleil in Amour, previously originating the role of Dr. Pomatter in Waitress. Kara Lindsay will play Isabelle whose credits include Beautiful: The Carole King Musical and Newsies.
Casting is completed by Derrick Baskin, Kevin Massey, Adam Pascal, Christiani Pitts, Jennifer Sánchez, Thom Sesma, Vishal Vaidya and Rachel York.
After a 1997 world premiere in France, Amour opened at the Music Box Theatre on October 20, 2002. The cast included Malcolm Gets and Melissa Errico, and ran for 30 previews and 17 performances.
Amour is available to stream from April 2 - 4. More information can be found here.
