Alfred Molina stars in Lincoln Center Theater's revival of Uncle Vanya on Broadway at the Vivian Beaumont Theater from April 2.
Molina is an accomplished actor with a significant body of work spanning film, television, and stage. He gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of Doctor Octopus in Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man: No Way Home, Diego Rivera in Frida opposite Salma Hayek, and Comte de Reynaud in Chocolat, among dozens of other film roles.
Molina's film credits also include notable performances in Boogie Nights, An Education, and Love Is Strange opposite John Lithgow. On television, Molina starred in series like Law & Order: LA and made guest appearances on shows like Angie Tribeca.
Though he's best known for his screen roles, Molina got his start on stage in London's West End in 1980, when he earned an Olivier Award nomination for Best Newcomer in a Play for his performance in Oklahoma! He went on to receive Tony Award nominations for all three of his Broadway roles before Uncle Vanya: Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof, Mark Rothko in Red, and Yvan in Art.
