Josh Gad is currently starring in Gutenberg! The Musical! at the James Earl Jones Theatre until January 28.
In 2005, Gad made his Broadway debut in The 25th Annual Putnam Spelling Bee. Gad had his breakthrough role as Elder Arnold Cunningham in The Book of Mormon on Broadway in 2011, for which he was nominated for a Tony Award. In 2013, he collaborated again with Book of Mormon writer Robert Lopez on the Disney film Frozen, in which he voiced snowman Olaf. He reprised the role for Frozen II in 2019.
Also for Disney, Gad played LeFou in the 2017 live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast. Further film credits include Murder on the Orient Express, The Wedding Ringer, and Marshall.
On television, Gad played a fictionalized version of himself on FX’s The Comedians opposite Billy Crystal. He currently stars in both Armando Iannuci’s HBO series Avenue 5 and Apple’s animated series Central Park.
Gutenberg! The Musical! marks Gad’s first Broadway show since The Book of Mormon and a reunion with co-star Andrew Rannells.
