Rob McClure stars as Daniel Hillard/Euphegenia Doubtfire in Mrs. Doubtfire at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre on Broadway. 

Robert McClure was born on June 15, 1982 in New Milford, New Jersey. McClure attended New Milford High School, where he acted in school productions and won the Paper Mill Playhouse Rising Star Award for Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for his performance in the titular role of Where’s Charley? While at Montclair State University in New Jersey, he also returned to his former school to direct musicals between 2003 and 2006.

McClure’s first professional stage roles were in the Paper Mill Playhouse productions of Carousel and I’m Not Rappaport, with the latter leading to his Broadway debut following its 2002 Broadway transfer to the Booth Theatre. Between 2006 and 2009, he appeared in both the Broadway and national tour productions of Avenue Q, starring as various characters including Princeton, Rod, Nicky, and Trekkie Monster. Next up, he would star as Charlie Chaplin in the Broadway premiere of Chaplin at the Barrymore Theatre from August 2012 (and its pre-Broadway run at La Jolla Playhouse in San Diego). McClure earned his first Tony Award nomination in 2013 (alongside his Theatre World Award) for his portrayal of the comic icon.

Since then, McClure has starred on Broadway as Jack Singer in Honeymoon in Vegas (2014-15), as Tim Allgood in Noises Off (2015-16), as Nick Bottom in Something Rotten! on Broadway (2016-17) and on the national tour (2017-2018), and as Adam Maitland in Beetlejuice (2019).

His regional credits also include The Producers, Oliver!, Amadeus, Shrek the Musical, Mary Poppins, The Addams Family, the pre-Broadway tryout of Beetlejuice in Washington D.C., and the pre-Broadway tryout of Mrs. Doubtfire at the 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle.

His screen credits include appearances in Person of InterestElementary, and The Good Fight, all on CBS.
