Ariana DeBose and Shoshana Bean to lead TodayTix Originals Tavern on the Green concerts

Concerts will begin at the iconic New York venue from May 25 in a new partnership with TodayTix.

A new series of concerts will begin at Tavern on the Green this month, featuring Ariana DeBose and Shoshana Bean. The TodayTix Originals concerts are taking place on selected dates throughout May and June, and the series will run through the summer and into the fall. 

"If any two New York institutions are synonymous with the city itself, it's Tavern on the Green and Broadway," said TodayTix Originals' Executive Producer Tony Marion in a statement. "For those of us who have spent the last 14 months yearning for live performance and a reason to get dressed up, this is going to be the ultimate tonic."

Ariana DeBose will perform at Tavern on the Green on May 25. DeBose is best known for starring in the Netflix film adaptation of The Prom, and will also star in the upcoming adaptation of West Side Story. On Broadway, she has appeared in Hamilton, Pippin, and Donna: The Donna Summer Musical. 

Shoshana Bean will then perform on June 8 and 9. Recently, Bean has played Jenna in Waitress, but she has also starred as Elphaba in Wicked and in the original cast of Hairspray.

Additional performers taking part in the TodayTix Originals concert series at Tavern on the Green will be announced at a later date.
