Could an Adam Lambert musical make its Broadway debut soon?
He's spoken about a new musical he's creating.
A brand new musical from Adam Lambert is in the works. Full details on the untitled project haven't been released yet, but the autobiographical musical is inspired by a 1970s icon, with Lambert working with songwriting collaborators.
Speaking on the Brenda, Call Me podcast, Lambert said: "'Musically it's pretty diverse, but it's the life story of an actual person and it's not me! And the majority of the story takes place in the 70s.
I can't say too much right now because we haven't really announced what it is or how it's going to be, but I'm collaborating with some great people, I can tell you that ... it definitely is rock and roll, though!"
Competing on the eighth season of American Idol, Lambert is now best known for singing with British band Queen around the world. Recently, he starred as Emile in Ratatouille the Musical alongside Andrew Barth Feldman and Ashley Park. Prior to American Idol, Lambert has played Fiyero in national tours of Wicked.
