Faith Healer extends its run to the 13 Aug 2006

Faith Healer, by Brian Friel, has now extended its run to the 13 Aug 2006, the show was scheduled to close on the 30 Jul 2006.

The drama opened at the Booth Theatre on the 4 May 2006, following previews from the 18 Apr, to mainly excellent to good notices from the press. "A mesmerizing revival.�" wrote the New York Times and The New York Daily News printed "Extraordinary, unforgettable."

Faith Healer tells the tale of dissolute, charismatic Frank Hardy, his long-time lover and his devoted manager as they travel the back roads of Scotland and Wales peddling miracles. As the three wrestle with Hardy's genuine but elusive gift for healing, they ask potent questions about who we trust, what we know and why we believe.

The cast, directed by Jonathan Kent, features Ralph Fiennes, Cherry Jones and Ian McDiarmid.

The productions has set and costume design by Jonathan Fensom and lighting by Mark Henderson.
