The New Group has announced its star-studded 2024-25 season of shows, with four productions scheduled to play at the Pershing Square Signature Center in the next year.

The first show is the New York-premiere play Babe, starring Oscar winner Marisa Tomei (My Cousin Vinny) in fall 2024. She plays Abby, a renowned music producer alongside her husband, Gus. When a new hire calls out the compromises she's made in her work union, though, she must soon fight to save her career.

Babe is written by Jessica Goldberg and directed by Scott Elliott, The New Group's artistic director. Red Yes Studio is a co-producer.

In winter 2025, Calista Flockhart (Ally McBeal), Cooper Hoffman (Licorice Pizza), and Christian Slater (Heathers) will star in Sam Shepard's Obie Award-winning play Curse of the Starving Class. The trio play a family whose home is on the verge of collapse, causing them to cling to their past as they fight for a better future. Elliott directs.

The world-premiere musical The Last Bimbo of the Apocalypse is The New Group's spring 2025 show. In 2006, an infamous photo of four women ran in the New York Post. The tabloid called the three of them — Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, and Britney Spears — “The Three Bimbos of the Apocalypse.” In the present, three young internet sleuths look for the truth about Coco, the fourth woman in the photo, rewriting pop culture history in the process.

The Last Bimbo of the Apocalypse features a book, music, and lyrics by Michael Breslin and Patrick Foley, orchestrations and music direction by Dan Schlosberg, and choreography by Jack Ferver. Rory Pelsue developed and directs the musical.

Finally, The New Group will co-produce Vineyard Theatre and National Black Theatre's world-premiere production of Bowl EP, taking place at Vineyard's own venue on E. 15th Street. Nazareth Hassan wrote and directs the play in spring 2025, about two skaters who flirt, drink, talk, smoke, and skate and grow increasingly closer as they do.

Performance dates and additional casting and creative team for all The New Group's productions have yet to be announced.
