Sink your teeth into this one! The new musical The Lost Boys, adapted from the film of the same name, will premiere at Broadway's Palace Theatre in spring 2026, with exact dates to be announced.
The Lost Boys follows two teenage brothers who move with their mother to the fictional Santa Carla, California, which turns out to be crawling with vampires. When the Warner Bros. film, directed by Joel Schumacher from a story by James Jeremias and Janice Roberta Fischer, was released in 1987, it was a critical and commercial success for its fresh depiction of vampires and themes of physical transformation, sexual awakening, and experimentation.
The movie was a forerunner to later vampire media and spawned two sequels and two comic book series before getting the stage musical treatment. The Lost Boys on Broadway is directed by Tony Award winner Michael Arden (Parade, Maybe Happy Ending) and features a book by David Hornsby (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) and Chris Hoch, and songs by The Rescues, composed of Kyler England, AG, Gabriel Mann.
Additionally, music supervision is by Ethan Popp, choreography is by Lauren Yalango-Grant and Christopher Cree Grant, scenic design is by Tony Award nominee Dane Laffrey, and costume design is by Susan Hilferty.
Casting and additional creative team members have yet to be announced.
