John Gallagher Jr. stars as Mate in Swept Away on Broadway at the Longacre Theatre beginning October 29, 2024.
Gallagher is best known for his Tony Award-winning performance as Moritz in Spring Awakening on Broadway. He joined that show in 2006 after making his Broadway debut in Rabbit Hole earlier that year.
Subsequent Broadway credits include American Idiot, Jerusalem, and Long Day's Journey into Night. On screen, he played Jim Harper on the Aaron Sorkin TV show The Newsroom.
