The Show Must Go On! to stream The Phantom of the Opera for free
The 25th Anniversary celebration of The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall can be streamed from this Friday, April 17 at 2pm (ET).
The Music of the Night is going digital! Following the previous free presentations of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Jesus Christ Superstar on The Show Must Go On! YouTube Channel, courtesy of Andrew Lloyd Webber, this coming weekend's presentation has now been revealed.
Beginning at 2pm (ET) on Friday, April 17 and available for a limited 48 hour period, check out the acclaimed 25th Anniversary celebration of The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall from 2011. Whilst the doors of Broadway's Majestic Theatre remain closed due to the current pandemic, why not celebrate the majesty of the longest-running show in Broadway history from the comfort of your own living room?
In celebration of the 25th Anniversary of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera, Cameron Mackintosh produced a unique, spectacular staging of the musical on a scale which had never been seen before. Inspired by the original staging by Hal Prince and Gillian Lynne, this lavish, fully-staged production set in the sumptuous Victorian splendour of London's legendary Royal Albert Hall features a cast and orchestra of over 200, plus some very special guest appearances.
